LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservatives) Information
LOSP H3 is an effective preservative formulation designed to provide a lasting protection for timber products used in external situations above ground.
The formulation contains specialised fungicides for protection against fungal decay and an insecticide to provide lasting protection from termites and other timber boring insects.
The complete formulation is applied by a controlled vacuum-pressure process.
LOSP uses an organic solvent carrier to transport the active ingredients into the timber. This solvent does not saturate wood cells and causes little or no swelling during treatment. This means that the timber maintains its original size, shape and strength grading.
LOSP treated timber requires no kiln drying after treatment as the solvent evaporates from the timber over time without additional kiln drying.
Water repellent
The water repellent resin and wax system included in the formulation retards the rate at which water is absorbed by the timber during construction. This enhances dimensional stability.
Active ingredients
This synergistic combination of organic fungicides protects timber from decay in above ground situations.
- Propiconazole and Tebuconazole: This synergistic combination of organic fungicides protects timber from decay in above ground situations.
- Permethrin: Permethrin is a contact insecticide that prevents termites and other wood-boring insects from attacking timber.
